The latest issue of the quarterly “PRAWO BUDOWLANE” published an article entitled: “Increase in the costs of construction investments in Poland as a result of changes in the minimum wage – analysis of the issue in the light of changes in 2023-2024” by members of the CCM Team: Michał Lempkowski (Managing Partner of CCM) and Mikołaj Matla (Delay and Quantum Specialist in CCM).

As our experts state, an increase in the minimum wage brings obvious benefits, such as improving the financial situation of employees and reducing social inequalities, with as much as a two-fold increase in this rate within one calendar year – which is what we are currently dealing with (2023-2024) may be another (after the Covid-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine and record inflation) significant cost factor for construction investments in Poland. Each increase in the minimum wage also generates obvious wage pressure among other employees.

The article attempts to estimate the impact of the analysed factor on the increase in the costs of construction investments in Poland, divided into key construction sectors.
